I second that...I use G Spot as well. It will tell you just what codecs you need.
G Spot's great, if you can find it. |
I searched all over for G-Spot. If you Google it, I suggest using more search words that just "G-Spot" or "G-Spot Video." |
Hey Derrek. As you know, googling is a great technique for use with the g-spot. |

Wow, that comments section saved me some time.
I downloaded a movie that is a mpeg (?) format. Seems strange to me and i can't get it to play (even with VLC). Any ideas? |
Get hold of a program called 'GSpot' (no, really) - it examines video files and tells you what codecs you need to view them. |
my wife will be so happy when she sees this search.
edit: interesting program but it didn't solve the problem. chances are that file is corrupted/just not working then. |
If the sound and video are out of sequence ort if the video freezes or doesn't play correctly, it could be a muxing problem (it was encoded poorly). Lots of people mistake this error for a codec problem. Do a google search for 'video remux' or 'video remuxer' and run your video file through the sequence. I have had several videos that worked great after doing this when I was sure it was a codec problem.
You can verify if this problem is pertinent to your situation by trying to play the video with 'media player classic' which will immediately return an error message to you.
I don't remember the name of te program I used but it should be easy to find. Demo, do you know of a good remuxing program? |

Well so far i am still having fun with emule.
I've been getting a few odd-ball downloads though. Yesterday i downloaded what I thought was "meet the fockers", turned out to be a french dubbed version of "Ray". Hmmm, not sure how they mixed those two up.
Also note.. I have a new siggy! lmao |
