Yes, is it Daegu? I'd heard a rumour about one opening sometime soon in Daegu. If so, I'll certainly be there and I hope there is enough interest from the foreign community here to make it successful. |

Who's going to be able to go between 12 and 5pm? I definitely can't. Damn my regular working hours! And my non-regular working hours I suppose.
Do you know anything more about the Saturday classes? |

The hours are fine for me, but I agree they may not be ideal for most English teachers.
I'm fairly sure it will be the YMCA teachers running it. If so, then the classes will be good as most of the teachers there are great. This might explain the 12-5pm times, as the YMCA teachers teach Korean at the various universities in Daegu, mostly in the mornings and evenings.
Plokiju, I don't know about the Saturday classes they are offering, but the YMCA has Saturday classes weekly from 11am to 1pm, costing 80,000W for 4 months. They are past half-way point in the current session, but as long as you're not absolute beginner you could fit in easily. |

Nev, I actually went to the Korean class at the YMCA this past weekend. It actually seemed about right for me. I'm going to hold out until the next session starts though since I won't be able to go the next few Saturdays.
Ah well, I guess I'll end up doing it the YMCA way. It's probably cheaper. It's too bad there isn't an intensive course(2hr+) available on the weekends. |

The classes are now underway, each currently operating twice a week.
The beginner class is on Tuesdays and Thursday, 1-3pm.
The beginner/intermediate class is still to settle on fixed times but looks to be Monday and Thursday, 1pm-3pm.
The intermediate/advanced class is on Monday and Wednesday, 1-3pm.
I've been taught by all three teachers in the past, and all are excellent, not to mention pretty. Daegu has long been needing a weekday Korean class and so I hope this can receive the support it deserves. Students are free to join any time.
If anyone is interested, email the address in the OP, or give me a pm or email ([email protected]).
Plokiju, if you are interested in weekend courses I've heard about a weekend course offered, for free, by somewhere called the Shinam Lifelong Education Centre. I don't know precise details except that it operates each Saturday and Sunday from 4pm-6pm. I think it is somewhere north of Dongdaegu Station. Their phonenumber is (053) 955 7757. |

I may give it a shot after the new subway line opens. Now it is just too much to go downtown twice a week! Hell, the Y class was too much once a week. An hour each way on Saturday morning is not cool with me! |

Perhaps the most relevant four words of my entire post.
Look forward to seeing you at the class, Corporal! |

Nah...I'll stick with getting language tips from my handsome husband 24/7, and you learn from your pretty K-teachers four hours a week, and at the end of the year let's compare notes and see who knows more. Are we on? |

Where is the school? I was down there this afternoon but I don't think I came close to finding it. I couldn't make sense of the webpage either. Why does it have only 5 non-Korean words? I guess I'll have to email. |

Hey everyone
I`ve actually signed up for this class attending 2 times a week Tues & Thurs. Officially, its not a hogwan, but a language club. Right now, there`s 3 students (including me). I like it cuz its during the week as opposed to on the weekend. The location is a bit hard to find, its near the YMCA, PM if U want more details.
