For eyebrows at Dashing Diva- 10,000, doesn't hurt much, and the service there is better than I ever got at home too. |

CLG, how much does that place charge for waxing eyebrows? Does it hurt? |
Depends on what style you get. I go for the 25k one. And yes it does, hurt int he pulling a plaster off a hair area kind of way. But rememeber this,
Beauty is pain. |

I have to say that of all the hair stylists I've been to in Korea, Michel in the salon above Burger King Itaewon is the best. Once you've been there a few times he knows exactly what you want, like and need. To be honest, now he's the only one I'll let near my hair here in Korea |

I'll second that. Michel is very intuitive when it comes to hair. I'm not very good at knowing what will look right on me, and he is able to gently steer me away from some of the disasters that I request. A very sweet guy. |

the problem seems to be with whether he is doing your hair or not. I had one of his assistants do an excellent job on my hair, but the last time I did a bad job, not enough highlights and there were a few cases where the dye had leaked over the foil creating a horozontial line.
After that, i decided to go hunting and unos seems to do the job well and is a lot closer to my house. |

How would you compare the prices of Uno's to Michel's ?? And yes, I agree, one really needs to make sure that it's HIM doing your hair and not one of the assistants. But they are very busy and you could be there for hours and hours. That's the drawback. Unless I knew of somewhere better, I'd be willing to wait. |

Sorry, I don't mean to drastically change the topic but does anyone know of any spray-on tanning salons in Itaewon or even Seoul? I want to avoid tanning beds(not very safe) and am in desperate need to darken my pasty, white skin. |

Doesnt the sunshine work for ya? Oh and hey, PCTG, did you get my pm?? I'm wondering if you know those people
Spray tanning seems like something that would be nearly impossible to find around here, because most asian women do in fact WANT to look pasty white. |

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what exactly do they do to your eyebrows?
For people who don't want to support animal testing, there's a salon in Sinchon that can highlight or color your hair using Aveda products (I believe their color products are free of animal ingredients too -- at least they were the last I heard). I was so excited to find it, even though it cost a fortune and there were some communication problems between me and the hairdresser. The results were a bit "too subtle," but still definitely a lot better than my mousy natural hair color. |
