Spent 8 years living in Eugene. But my mom lives up in McMinnville (Portland area)...so that's where I go home to. |

Never went to either! Ya know the funny thing is that while I love the whole west coast/hippy spirit of Eugene, I'm more of a yuppy type myself. Spent a lot of time at Cafe Paradiso. And my favourite restaurant was the Glenwood. I'd do just about anything to have a big bowl of their Tomato Cheese soup with the giant bay leaves in it, toasted bagel on the side. *sigh* |

Sorry, but PDX is WAYYYYYYYY better than Eugene, Bend, or Corvallis. I used to live in SW, on the corner of 10th and Washington- could see Jake's Famous Crawfish from my window.
Funny story: my apt. faced a parking lot and got FULL sun in the afternoon (summers, of course ). One afternoon I walked in and was met with stifling heat, so I immediately stripped off everything (not a good idea, but people don't usually gaze up at the buildings- people tend to stare straight ahead and observe things at eye level). After a few minutes, I walked over to the window to open it wider. Well, 2 of the parking attendants were standing directly across from me in the parking lot with mouths gaping, staring in disbelief. I dove for cover, and I mean DOVE.
A few days after that, an attendant crossed the street to talk to me (I was walking my dog). He said, "I just wanted to tell you that you have a beautiful body." He scared the hell out of me, and I told him to leave me a l o n e. He was pissed.
Long story short (well, maybe not- sorry). I called my b-friend, and I didn't expect him to be sympathetic (he was a very matter-of-fact kind of guy, and I thought he would say, "What did you expect?"). He said nothing. Well, I got on my bike, and rode 10 miles to his house after that. When I walked into his apt., he was calmly balancing his checkbook. Without looking up, he says, "That parking attendant's name is Paul." I was baffled. I asked him how he knew that, and he had jumped into his cousin's car after hanging up with me, went down to the parking lot, and asked the dude if he had approached me. He said no, but his co-worker had, and the guy had gone to lunch. Well, my boyfriend told him to tell the guy that if he ever approached me again, he was going to rip him a new one. I love hot-blooded Latino men. Sigh... |

HAHAHHA! Well hey, at least he said that you had a beautiful body. I mean, it could have been much worse. |
