hi newbie. welcome to korea.
if you are hoping to get some responses to your question, i suggest renaming your post title to 'info on pohang'....or,'anybody here?'....or even, 'hey, where is everyone?'

here is an old thread about pohang...

I'm an ex-Pohang resident. If you're into the bar scene try the Giant Step which is about a block away from the Post Office in downtown Pohang. There's also the Hess Bar which is across the street, and the Marlboro Bar around the corner, which is more intimate and has friendly bar girls. Also close to the Post Office is the Hess 2 bar. It gets confusing, but ask around and you shouldn't have any problem finding it.

Heung-hae is a little off the beaten track, so it might be worth a 10,000 won taxi ride to Pohang proper. There are a few Westerners in Heung-hae; if you flag one down and chat to them I'm sure they'd show you the ropes. The ex-pat community is pretty tight there because it's so small.

If you feel like a break from the bar scene, check out the Pohang English club, which meets at The Cabin cafe on Thursday nights around 9pm, just opposite the Marlboro bar. A great way to make some Korean friends (I met my GF there), and someone'll always get your back if you have any Korea-related hassles. Tell 'em Matt sent you.

Grab a taxi and say "Pohang she nay", that means 'downtown'. If the driver wants more info or looks confused say, "Yook-guri" (rhymes with 'book') - that's the 6-junction intersection downtown. The street with the Giant Step and Hess bars is on your left - you'll see a Samsung store on the opposite side- just head perpendicular to that.
