I had an exit order 2 years ago.

I didn't have a new E-2 yet, though. Here's what you do:

As you approach immigrations at Inchon, simply walk over to that little room off to the left. Tell them the situation, and just ask them. Whether they take it or not, you'll come back in on a new tourist visa anyway, and will have plenty of time to get your new E-2 ARC applied for at immigration.

Either way, when you get your new E-2 stamped in your passport, and you return to your immigration office in your area, you'd have to give them your E-2 card, anyway to get it updated with the new date on the back.

My guess is that they'll take your old E-2 and make you get a new one. Who can guess what immigrations will do.

To be honest, I'm amazed that you got a new blue paper so fast after getting an exit order. What was your situation in getting the exit order?

Did you get an exit order too, Pyongshin?

Or maybe you mean you're amazed by his new blue paper too.

No, no exit order for me. That's because I have never ever done anything wrong or even slightly immoral here. Ever. I am surprised he was able to reconcile that with Immi. in time to get a new blue form.

one doesn't need to commit an unlawful act to get an exit order.
exit orders are given when one is released from a contract without having a new job lined up.

Right. I got one once, when I renewed a contract for a year on the understanding that I'd be allowed to go home at the 6 month point (processing it as a one-year renewal was apparently easier for the school). At the 6 month point we had the visa cancelled as arranged and I was given a 7-day Exit Order. Nothing naughty.

Is the exit order 15 days after you officially quit your job or 15 days after you get the letter of release?
