These may as well say, "NOBODY ELSE NEED APPLY."

"There are 5 Canadian teachers and 3 of them are on their 3rd year contracts. All of teachers here are responsible, devoted and warm hearted. Warm working atmosphere is our top concern. we prefer Canadian teachers to work with because there are only Canadian teachers.... honest and nice director and warm-hearted staff(Koreans and Canadians) "

I'm sure anyone could apply here, but who else would want to bother applying to a recruiter named, "Canadians Place First?"
"CPF is currently looking for Canadian Teachers to fill 40 positions in the Incheon and Bucheon areas."

Don't blame Canadians for how Koreans choose to run their schools. Many Koreans are anti-American and don't even know why.
As for the letter that Derrek received, I'd like to kick the author in the berries (or the cooter, if that's the case). He ranted about whiny Americans the entire time, oblivious to the fact that he was whining like a little girl the entire time. His statistics were also outlandish. 58% illiteracy? Maybe if you count unborn babies, toddlers, and the recently deceased.
Hey Derrek: How about a name? It's not that I think you may have created the letter yourself, but you may have created the letter yourself. PM me if you want. I can keep a secret. No one is allowed to badmouth Americans unless the words "George" and "Bush" are included. Seriously. It's the law. |

Wow, this is a funny thread.
Being an overseas Canadian has honestly made me "dislike" my country more. Some of the stuff that is spoon fed you about "having a great health care system that the world envies", or "being the second largest nation in the world".
Well for one, i've grown up thinking that Canada was the second biggest, but now every text I read says it's the third (sometimes the fourth). And as for the health care system, well, its not free! When I had to pay 6 months in back payments to Alberta Health Care it did not feel free!!??
The thing is every country has its strengths and weaknesses. i find all too often though nationalists focus on some of the stupidist stuff to be proud of;
size of a country
height of the leader
how many lakes
not starting wars/starting lots of wars
ect... |

Just for the record, as a Canadian, I don't give two hoots over the fact that there are over 60 hagwons in Korea with the name 'Ewha American Language School' and 30+ schools called "REI American Language School", nor do some of the non-Americans that I've met who've worked there. |

Yet another quote I omitted which may provide a clue. No names, please:
"Beware the wrath of a dwarven warrior!" |
