I went to my travel agent today to make flight reservations for the first week of August to Bangkok...
Thai Airways and Asiana Airlines both already have waiting lists. Only Korean Air still has available seats. (I guess Koreans are starting to realize that Korean Air sucks).
I like this country, but sometimes things really annoy me here. Why are all of these airlines booked up when the prices aren't even set yet? Do all of these people do what I did, which is reserve seats on one airline, then get on the waiting list for all of the others?
Why don't they know what the prices will be? They know it's going to be booked solid, so what are they waiting for? It's babo.
Anyways, if any of you are thinking of maybe going anywhere for summer vacation, it would probably be best to make reservations just in case - even if you probably won't go. It's better to be safe than sorry. |

as you dont need to make a deposit when you reserve seats, people reserve loads and then never cancel them, till the last minute. |

This is why I NEVER fly anywhere during peak period from Korea.
The whole, travel agent/reservation/no-prices-yet/no-seats-available/ cattle-market-mentality/airports-and-roads-are-chaos/pannicky-ajumma's-in-airports, thing just makes me crumble. |

Booked about a month ago, going to DUBLIN, and then spend the rest of the time in Italy and France! Europe rocks, the Euro is going down, and vacation is in two weeks! |

Are you back in Phoenix now? When did you come and go in and out of Korea? |

I was there from May 06 to May 17. Father in law had a stroke awhile back so I spent a lot of time with him, also had to help out with the wedding (brother in law) but I did get a few chances to trek around a few of those days...took the ktx to pusan, went to Kangwhado (island) etc. |
