Excuse me -- I'm hoping you can tell me if I'm on the right thread?
I'm looking for the Italy vs. Canada match....
It is? Okay, good. Thank you.
Given the choice, I'd holiday in Italy (again) despite having never been to Canada and thinking it's probably a wonderful place, and despite having had a few decidedly bad experiences during past visits to Italy.
I don't think I'm alone in that respect.
As for living in one of the two ... I think it wouldn't matter so much, as I'm sure I'd never stay put for very long, whichever place I chose. |

Many people wish to live in Italy! its like a DREAM! ask people they always say! OHHH I would love to live in Tuscany! or on the riviera! etc..
dont hear people saying I want to live in halifax!

also you need to rememeber canada is a mutli cultural country!
with many europeans, asians living there helping for your life expectancy and morality rates!
life exp- is same as italy!
BUT WHO CARES!
AIDS? well thats becuase Italy has many foreigners living in its country!
many people from Africa, albania, russia come to work as hookers and make money! spreading HIV. but then again USA has many AiDS,
but I would think the spread of HIV from Italians is also due to heroin!

well fermi was a genius and he was Italian! unfortunatly Italy was in a major depression so he did what was best for him and science! moved to USA! as did many other Italians! economic reason! as did so many people immigrated to canada during the 1800's 1900's..
people have holiday homes in ITALY. people dont live there becuase of the language barrier! and work! but people who are rich always come to ITALY! have a second home there..
CANADA? people stay??? emmm why are the majority of ESL teachers in KOREA -canadian???

IM sorry I dont get what you are saying?
becuase before you just quoted that italians live with MAMMA until they are 30! but now you are saying ITalians through their kids out on the street... ummm I think you are very mistaken! I dont know where you got your information!!!
FAMILIA! very different to canada! we take our families seriously!
canadians dont! leave home and your pretty much on your own from there! remember there are may different cultures in canada! so of course many families live solid bound! just as Italians do!
the philipinos, the asians, the greeks, the italians,indians, its just the no culture canadians who think there way is right! and the other cultures are all wrong!
if thats love then that is sure a wierd way to show it! you want to call it independance? there are other ways to do than , turning your back on your kids!
I guess Korea is similar to italy? does your girlfriend live with you?

yes canada did discover insulin and well done for that!
there are other inventions which are great too from canadians..
Italy has done many great things too..
I am not so knowledgeble of inventions etc..
but some names which I know are..
DaVinci, Galileo , I know they helped shape the world!

and Im sure it attracts much more than Canada does!
BUT hey.. I think canada is a beautiful place! for what it is!
Amazing scenery! mountains, lakes, wildlife etc.. kinda like new zealand.
I will visit canada one day!

| Italian pizza sucks. I'm not just trying to provoke Italguy. I lived in Italy for 2 years. The pizza sucks. Paper thin crust, watery sauce and the toppings are weird. Ask for pepperoni and you get green peppers. Ask for the stuff that looks like pepperoni and it tastes like salami. I'd rather have a Korean corn pizza. |

perhaps if you spoke Italian you would get what you ordered!
also peronally I dont like thin crust myself thats southern Italian style!
where were you living Thorin?
also just like finding the right Kimchicegae or the right meat pie, or the right hamburger! it all depends on who makes it..
now I am sure you didnt you try pizza on every restaurant in italy!
also perhaps you were comparing it to pizzahut which you prefer!
I dont know..
I will say this to you..
I too have had bad pizza in italy!
you cant expect every restaurant in italy to be TOP!
im sure there are a plenty of idiots trying to make a pizza or spaghetti and have no idea!
but I can tell you another thing!
I have had some AMAZING PIZZA in italy too! |

| I lived in a little hole outside Vicenza called Caldogno so you're wrong, it was Veneto style. Anyway, I was just kidding. I tried to bring this stupid thread full circle by displaying the exact same behavior that I was complaining about in the OP. But my jokes are funnier when I don't have to explain them. |

I dont think you can compare Italy and Canada very well. WAYYYYYYYYY too different.
Anyways, I won't speak about Italy. I have never been. But Canada is a good place (if you have money). |
