Really?

I could understand that a year or two ago, but it seems to be reverting back a bit... I was at my first Club Night in a LOOOOONG time last Friday, and the foreigner presence seemed a bit muted compared to what I remember...

Funny name, though.

At risk of sounding like a wannabe oldtimer and drawing the laserbeam of JongnoGuru's ire (haha-jokes), I would also venture to mention that Itaewon is so completely toned down from what I remember it being 5 years ago... I remember crazed lunatics runnin' around banging on taxis and yellin' for no particular reason at 3 AM... Now, I just don't see that much of it... Either that, or I'm completely desensitized now, which is a very real possibility.

Club Night feels like HongDaeWon.

I noticed the weekdays seem more like Korean businessmen in suits running around trying to hit on young college korean girls in miniskirts days.

You are so right. Itaewon was nuts when I first came here five years ago. There was not a weekend morning where you could not find a couple of guys naked on the hill with a couple of hookers yelling at them.

The I am going to kick your ass for no reason vibe is also gone from there.

I give Itaewon credit though, a lot more up scale places (comparing to how it was) have been moving in there the past year. They adjusted to the infinite curfew imposed by the USFK really well. Even that guy that had that drunken man shooting a cork gun place is putting something different in.

Not long before the hill is gone I bet.

Sweet! Wink

ABSOLUTELY!!!

(Shoosh, you! We're all under strict doctor's orders not to remind Tiger how old and out of touch he is.)

Chillin' Villain thought he'd get away with it when he wrote:
