I have Cute FTP and tried to transfer some music and video files to my modded XBox (Evolution X). I had no luck, even though it was a direct connection (laptop-XBox) and the IP was correct.
After many attempts, I went to XBox Scene and did not find anything that helped, or answered the question to my problem.
Can anyone help me?

Is the Xbox at the Evox dashboard when you're trying to connect?

What happens when you try to connect to your Xbox?

Are you using a normal ethernet cable or a crossover cable?

What are you entering for your username and password when you try to connect? (I believe the Evox defaults are xbox/xbox)

Try FlashFXP rather than CuteFTP.

Good point, I was probably assuming incorrectly that the OP was using one.

Yeah, it must be the wrong cable, as I tried Flash FXP with no luck.

Forget flash FTP. Go with AceFTP. It's free and super-simple to use.

As per your problem, did you configure your IP address in windows first? For instance, I use 192.168.0.123 and my Xbox is 192.168.0.2. Ain't nothin' gonna work for you if you don't configure it each time you connect the machines. Also, I find that I must power up the Xbox only AFTER I change the IP address on the comp., connect the wires, etc. But maybe that's just my setup.
