I heard there are some second hand bookstores in Itaewon. Anyone know exactly where they are?
Thanks. |

There's also one at the Noksapyeong station (one over from Itaewon), near Chili Chili's. The two up on hooker hill in Itaewon are better in terms of price, turn in value, and English fluency. The What the Book Guy has a remarkable grasp of English, surprisingly
The oddly and generically named "English Foreign Bookstore" at Noksapyeong does have a rather weird collection, including magazines. They're near the military base and I suspect GIs ready to PCS out dump off boxes full of books and magazines asking for nothing more than man won for a couple beers...
There's some real interesting finds there amidst the Kevin J Anderson serial novels and back issues of Maxim Magazine... (once I would just love to put a sign above the Maxim Magazines saying "All magazines guaranteed to have no live bacteria!")
Anyway, that place is always my book store of last resort if you can't find what you're looking for at the other two places. That and he carries a lot of comic books... good for little presents and rewards for your better students. |
