I left my job suddenly........... err perhaps not so suddenly, I was supposed to leave at the end of last month, but agreed to stay until a new teacher was found.......................................................................................................................... but that was with the stipulation that I would be paid for the previous 2 months.
So the wonjong (not so nim) in his infinite wisdom decided to not pay me and forced my hand.
So I walked out over the long weekend and decided now would be a great time to take that trip to Spain I've always wanted.
So my point?
Does anyone know if a Busan bank card will work in Spain?
It says "International" on the card and it has "cirrus" and "maestro"
symbols on the back.
The bank couldn't give me a straight answer, they said that there were a limited number of ATM's that I should be able to use, but they couldn't tell me which ones.
Anyway, thanks in advance. |

Yes..if it has maestro on it, it will work in Europe. I've been to Spain, I've used my Korean cards before. |

Well I've never been to Spain
But I kind of like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it
The don't abuse it
Never gonna loose it
I can't refuse it |

Yeah I spent 2004-2005 in Spain. I did my MA graduate degree in Spain, near Valencia.
You are going to Spain and your only question is if a Korean bank card works there.. well, follow the KB Bank thread.. it use to be international.. but supposedly not anymore.
When I lived in Spain.. I sent whatever money I made in Korea to a home bank account.. and just withdrew what I needed from there. Its just 1000 times more easier in general - despite the few charges it costs to wire the money home to your bank. |

I spent 6 weeks in Barcelona just this last September and my card worked fine at almost all atm machines. The surcharges were not that bad either but can't recall how much they were. I have a KEB card that is their international cash card. It has the visa interlink and plus logos. Best of luck and enjoy Spain its a fantastic country. |

Thanks everyone for your help.
Much appreciated.
I'll transfer some into my Canadian account, and take both cards....just in case.
Que los vayan bien. |
