Oh yeah. I wish it was VII.

Anyway, thanks for that site Itaewonguy. It's beyond me as to why you begrudge him for remaking the movies in the way he said he originally wanted to see them done. It's quite different than having a song remixed in a way you don't like as a movie's about telling a certain story the right way, and when certain facts from the past become clear it's necessary to go over the old footage to do it justice. I'm sure people would be having a lot of fun right now making fun of the old footage of Anakin looking like a portly middle aged man, the emperor being played by an old woman and all the rest, if Lucas hadn't changed it.

I just dont like change! thats all..
If he wanted to remake the originals then he should have done just that!
REMADE them! wouldnt be hard to shoot three new movies could do them back to back in 3 years with all the CGI he wants!

I mean he releasing DVDS and calling them the Originals is just FAlse!
they are not the originals they are like 95% original!

I mean hollywood remakes movies all the time!
but hollywood doesnt take an old classic movie, run it through a computer and change scenes, add characters etc..
I mean even if thats how he intended to make them!
he really intended to have a young anikan then why didnt he use one in the original?
I dont know.. I just dont like my memories changed!
thats how I remember the celebration scene! I dont want to be forced to know a new scene! I want to have the option!
and lucas is not giving us the option!

anyway I am sure he will release the Originals again on DVD..
well hope so.. otherwise I will just keep the originals on Laser disc! next to my DVD box set!
I mean I dont hate the new version! its just I want the originals too!

I actually just saw Episode VII a few hours ago. Lucas probably finds it funny what his fans vew sacrelige as. "Dude, if I had the money and the technology at the start this is how they would have looked back then!" is his usual comment, which makes perfect sense. As long as it's him doing it (it's his brainchild after all) and not someone else.

the music scene in Jabba's bar that they added to Return of the Jedi was sacrilege. or sacrelige. whatever, it was just horrible.

Watched it on DVD on Sunday. Nothing special at all. Natural progression really. Glad I didn't waste the money in the theatre.

Like I said before, I had watched the DVD and liked it... but after watching it in the theaters I liked it a whole lot more.

That was truly annoying. I agree. Or when the music was being played in the ship with Leia

Here's lazy writing for you:

Obi-Wan in Ep. III: "Only a sith deals in absolutes!"

Yoda in Empire: "No. Do or do not. There is no try."

So I guess Yoda's a sith lord.

I got this on DVD and thought it was pretty cool, was expecting the fight scenes to drag on (having seen episode I), and the romance stuff to be dreary (having heard about episode II), but it all zipped along pretty well.

What's with all the weird cuts/wipes from one scene to another though? I'd forgotten how much Lucas loves those things.

I think it was an effort to mantain some continuity between the films.

Yeah, well, that and George Lucas can't write dialogue... or direct for that matter. Laughing
