Droppin back in here for a minute.

Still in Cheongju, and still haven't met any foreigners.
I swear, the universe is punishing me for something, and
I am going completely stir crazy now.

I have done the ChungBuk University, thing, but, I have never
done the flying solo thing well. It would be nice to meet up with some
people and shoot the shit, cause really, I am not deformed or anything,
and actually have some half intelligent things to say,
and I drink like a fish when it get's down to it.

check me on msn if anyone is in Cheongju and is feeling the same sting I am from being on your own for too long.

Take your newspaper, magazine or book to the LG25 (or any convenience store with plastic chairs), buy a beer and some peanuts and sit outside and read. Sooner or later someone will start talking to you. If they are real flakey-looking, tell them you are Russian.

Maybe I was wrong about the uni name.

Chung Dae Chung Moon is the Area of town, and maybe it is Cheongju University, but I thought it was ChunBuk University.

Here is the spelling of the city I am in in Hangeul. û. I know I am not in Jungju. LOL

OH, yeh, I know about the LG 25 for sure, but, honestly, I have been there done that, and I swear the universe is imploding in on itself. I have tried countless times meeting people, but anytime I go to NY Cafe, or to Chung Dae, I am the only foreign face around.

If someone wants to plan to meet up and get a drink on, by all means, but, I am past just sitting around on the off chance someone is gonna be kind enough to introduce themselves. (and, believe me, I have tried to introduce myself to alot of people as well,(in my part of town), but I think Yong Am Dong is just filled with Zombies and Trolls. Dwarves aren't so bad. But fucking Trolls?

Anyways, that said, maybe I take one last stab at the LG 25 this friday night, but from what I have been privy too, there is a very clickish mentality (externally viewed of coarse), and I might just be too real to be approachable.

Meh, I need another Bud.

If the Gov't is spelling it with the 'Cheong' opposed to the 'Jung', why fret over spelling issues?

I know places like Daejeon were known as Taejeon up until a few years ago, so, maybe you have been here for a while?

This is the first time I have even seen Cheongju in any different spelling form than that. All good though.

Still curious where the alternate spelling comes into place.
