There were six full pages of job ads posted on Worknplay.co.kr yesterday (Wednesday). No, they're not all camps.
That's just one day.
I wonder how many compaines are feeling the pinch because of the recent crackdowns? |

i too have noticed a crunch coming.

I have been watching the ads there, just to get a feel for what is open at what times during the year.
They were averaging about 2 pages a day, not long ago.
They really should start charging soon. |

I wish immigration would post their statistics on the numbers of employees they fined or deported....compared to years past.
Would be interesting to see if this would be a factor...or maybe more schools opening due to better economic status...

btw- besides the guy in the resume part of www.worknplay.co.kr who would wear their hanbok for a 'professional' resume shot? |

Maybe the ads are all traps. |

Well, there seem to be fewer ads on daves these days.
I see from the pop-up that WNP will be changing their site on June 13. My guess is that they will charge for ads. They'd be stupid if they didn't charge something. |

Exactly. Immigration can post trap jobs because it's free. You can't trust free jobs. It can be by anyone for anything. If you charge a fee, even a small one you make things safer. |

This would not stop immigration from posting a trap ad. Why? They catch on illegal and the fine more than pays for the ad. |

Yeah but then they'd have to go through all kinds of red tape to get the money, which I very much doubt they'd bother doing. |

With all the illegal workers getting caught, you wonder what will happen in the future. Companies can't get foreigners to teach 'cas it's illegal and foreigners don't want to get caught so what will happen in the future? I heard that immigration walk into some agencies and check their computers to see who is working what and where. If it keeps going like this then the government will have to do something 'cas companies won't be happy about this.
Maybe hiring Gyopos is the answer but there isn't enough to go around. Seen loads of ads for them these days on worknplay so eventually something will have to be done. |

I'm in the process of finding - or I should say *selecting* - a new job and with everything in the offering I can't see why anyone would take a job at a kiddie hogwan for 2.0mn or less. It could be the crackdown, but it might also have a lot to do with mass public school hirings and an increasing demand in China. |

I haven't kept up on the China increase. What's the story there? |
