Korean Millionaires in dollars (Billionaires in won) Number 71,000
South Koreans with more than $1 million (1 billion won) in financial assets, excluding properties, totaled 71,000 in 2004, up 10.5 percent from a year earlier, the seventh highest growth rate in the world.

You might consider that "millionaire" doesn't exactly mean a million anymore Jack. If you want to be anal retentive about it go ahead. Real Reality quite clearly stated it was 1 billion won. What's the problem? It lists millionaires in Britain, Britain and Spain in his article. It factors in their local currency and calculates who has enough to qualify. This has nothing to do with American self centeredness. Don't be a dumb@ss Jack. |

Another way to look at it is to exclude primary resideneces, but include other real estate.
This makes quite a difference.
There now are 7.5 million millionaire households in the U.S., breaking the record set in 1999 of 7.1 million. The study excluded the value of primary residences, but included second homes and other real estate.
