My friend got married at the suwon folk village. That was kind of neat and they have a nice resturant for afterwards.

Drawback is that it's out of the way.

Sister Sarah thanks so much for those photos. You looked so beautiful! and the ceremony looked beautiful too. Really needed it after a bad day today

Sister Sarah's wedding was great, the location was nice. The buffet served about 25 meters away in a pseudo traditional building was of middling quality as buffets go. It would satisfy unless the new in-laws are really picky.

Hello and congrats. I got married at lotte world folk village. A traditional style wedding. We wanted outdoors but were too afraid of rain. Korea hous is way too expensice. Lotte world sounds cheesy but the folk village is kind of nice. I dont remember much as I was too worried about triping on my Hanbok, but ....

Somehow The Bobster got snagged for Bachelor Party duties on this one. I think it means I have throw eamo a good party the night before and somehow stay sober enough to stand up steady next to them the next day ... fair warning to you all, this kind of thing is likely to happen when drinking buddies somehow get morphed into actual and true lifelong friends.

Anyway, the good news is that the woman whose seductive wares lured eamo into this onerous contract turns out to be among the finest examples of female humanity you are likely to meet, and therefore there will be little about the Bachelor Party that need to inspire anything like remorse or sympathy from the other guys attending. The loss will be entirely that of the rest of us bachelors losing one of our number - and the scary risk to those of us bachelors with girlfriends is that he just might be starting an epidemic of such contracts ... it's well-known that weddings are often breeding grounds for, uh, more weddings.

I think the lady has known him for a little while now now, and so she must somehow believe his numerous faults are minor enough that not so much labor will be necessary on her part to correct them ... women always think that , haha. That's how men continue to survive.

it's rented. the wedding planners deal with a certain dress shop in apkujeong. tried a few on, went with that one.
thank god for those wedding planners. i have friends at home who painstakingly planned every minute detail for over a year and dropped a lot of money.
we decided on the location about 4 months in advance and did virtually no planning. not to mention, the wedding paid for itself and then some.

It sounds great Sarah. I really like the look of what you did there. I put it to my girl and she wonders if there is someone near for a reception with meal. She also doesn't like the idea of banking on the weather. Is there a Plan B at Childrens Grand Park if it rains?

well, it's one subway stop away from konkuk university, so as you probably know, there's a TON of places around there, depending on what you're looking for.
and yes, if it rains, they have a back up....unfortunately it's just your standard wedding hall. we decided to risk it. i'll pm you the info when i find it....

Are you going to take on DJ duties, Eamo? Remember, if some smartaleck comes up asking for the Pixies or Fugazi or Black Flag, then don't tell them to get stuffed this time, it's probably me! (look for the perm)

Congrats, BTW!

Seoul Race Course offers a free traditional ceremony, all you have to do is pay for the catering.

eamo,

lemme know what you decide, not that i'll come... i must have at least three no shows in me before you can complain - but seriously man, smoking tux is a must.
