Hmmmmmm ... i tried to find the place a number of times. All to no avail. My understanding is that it was near Abby's / the Mosque / Hooker Hill.
Where exactly i have NO idea. A new MAP would indeed be ideal.

| My wife actually told me a very interesting story about the store. A few years ago, perhaps when it was the song room, it was a place where all the TV personalities in Korea went to get their drugs. That's right, they were dealing right out of the place. The coppers caught on as they wondered why the hell all these famous people were coming in and out of this place. My had to sign a special contract stating that we would not sell drugs there (seriously). |
Wow. You should have a bong placed in your store to honor this location's unique position in Korean history. |

I cannot begin to tell you how many people have simply walked right past the store. And I dont just mean people who were coming for the first time. People who have been there a dozen times walked right past it.
The new store is easy to find and there will be a new map up shortly (will post a link to it here) |

These women are trained professionals. DON'T CONFUSE THEM FOR MERE DANCING GIRLS! I believe their called Narrator Models. Or maybe those are the women in plastic mini skirts who try to sell you soap at Lottemart. But anyway, I suspect it's part of the Korean legal code. You can't operate as a legitimate business in Korea unless you make your employees bow before a pig head and you have two 21 year old women gyrate under a balloon arch. It's a helluva country. |

This is 100% serious.....
FREE BEER ON SATURDAY until supplies last
From 1-6 we will be serving ice cold domestic brews at the store as a thank you to everyone who has helped us get to where are. There will be a limit on how many free ones you can get, but the limit is not one (you know how some people are). A map to the new store will be up shortly. |

On the what the book web site, some books such as this one have an additional fee. there's a link (explain this), but it just leads to a FAQ and I can't seem to find the reason for the additional fee on the FAQ page.
Any tips? |

Saw the before picture. Kinda curious about the after. It looked it would take quite the work to transform it. Am not in Korea to see. |

We are very short staffed so that's why I have not gotten around to adding that information to the help page. I will make sure to do that this week. The reason for the additional fee is that certain books are short discounted by the publisher or in some cases no discount is given to the retailer at all. Since we have lots of fees in getting you books: credit card fees, international shipping, domestic shipping, packing supplies, labor handling the product, we have to pass the costs over to our customers. You will notice that these books are never on sale on Amazon (or very very rarely). In most cases it is still faster and cheaper to get these short discounted books through us than through Amazon--when everything is totaled up.
If you take a look at the books on our site that have these additional fees you will see a sliding scale percentage wise. This is based on how short the short discount from the publisher is.
Off the top of my head the additional fee is less than 10% of our 1,000,000+ catalog.
I hope this explains it all. |

Congrats for expanding. You really saved me from some down-time in China with those books.
I miss Korea (and the beauties there) so much that I'm comming back in 2007.
I'll visit your new store. |
