I was just chatting on irc with some Idists, and it looks like the applet doesn't let you copy the content onto clipboard which is too bad. I don't suppose there's a database somewhere with records of all the channels? I'm sure the FBI has the information somewhere, maybe they'll help out?

Very few large servers will do serverside logs of IRC channels. Privacy concerns aside, once you have a few active channels, it all starts adding up.
Much better to do the logging yourself. Of course, that means getting a proper IRC client and idling in the channel, even if you weren't online.

That's what I thought. I've never used irc before and something woke me up early this morning whereupon I realized that some people were online. It would have made a good example for my club over here. |
