My time is almost up here in Korea!

What kind of things do you recommend one do before leaving?!

There are the touristy things like going to the east sea for the sunrise and such but don't forget the practical things too!! ie. dentist visit, buy glasses etc ...

Let's have some suggestions!!

Get a custom made suit.
Go to a buddhist supply store and stock up on some neat beads and baubles to go home and dazzle the natives with.(jade, tiger eyes, onyx, carved wood, rings...etc)
Go to the folk village and peruse their gifts and such.
To to the supermarket and pick up a can of bondeggi, a can of slivered almonds with the tiny fish, a bag of dried squid, some gochu and anything else you dont remember seeing at home.
Take home several sets of Korean chopsticks and laugh hysterically as your family tries to use them.
Climb a mountain.

Go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Yeouido, then get drunk on the Yeouido Ferry.

Be forced to go to the hospital for a common cold. Be delighted at getting a shot in your ass.

Eat Ϻ.

Visit your local temples.

Sleep in a PC room because it's cheaper than a motel.

I think we could all do with another viewing of that.

My wife's just told me that's Park Jun-Hyeung from g.o.d.
His HS pic from the states. Now I ask you, what would you rather? A snake devouring a kangaroo, or that?

It depends on what you have done.

Why would you want to visit the dentist or get eyeglasses here?

Compared to Canada, dental services and glasses are cheap no?

Of course, quality can be suspect but if you can find a good place then it is definitely worth it.

Any more?

I don't trust the dentists here. Many foreigners have documented that they seem to find things wrong that are "OK" when they go back home. I didn't need a filling for 13 years, and suddenly, I was told that I needed 6 crowns!

Glasses are a decent deal, though... as long as you demand a thorough eye exam.

I'd steer clear of the cheap suits, too. I bought one in Itaewon a little over a year ago, and it's falling apart. The padding seems to be coming through the fabric around the shoulders. If I pull on one of the little white strings that stick out, then a wad of padding comes with it, and it looks worse.

Be warned that you get what you pay for.

Give your secretary a deep tongue-kiss. Take her on her desk. Then (assuming that the settlement is in your pocket), minister to your director/chairman what it is that you believe he deserves.
