Are Koreans ready for a nude beach?
Gangwon province will conduct a survey this summer to find out whether Korea is ready for its first nude beach, which would be somewhere on the east coast. The move is in step with the recent "well-being" trend, said an official at the East Sea Rim Branch Office under the Gangwon provincial government. Eager nudists should be warned, though: For the time being, anyone attempting to go nude on a local beach would be subject to lewd behavior charges.

As long as it's a "men only" or "women only" beach!
Bath houses and saunas well prepare Koreans for same sex nudity.
It's the other sex which complicates things. |

Uh, no. The puritanism evident in much of North America shuns even same sex nudity. In a way, Koreans are half way prepared for nudist beaches compared to, say, New Englanders. |
