Gee... imagine how many cell phone shots will be taken on those beaches!
And the first photo of a naked male foreigner with a naked Korean female will spell the end of the nude beach. |

Oh well, skinny dipping is more fun when it's illegal anyway. |

Indeed. Seriously now, didn't we all, immediately upon reading this article, think exactly (or something like) that?
But when it inevitably came to an exchange of the fists between the locals and the expat, there'd at least be no concealed weapons. Maybe some sand in the eyes, or a stone, or maybe a piece of driftwood, or one of those super-long whip-like varieties of seaweed ... you know the ones -- gotta be careful, though, as they can be dangerous in the hands of an idiot.
In the interest of racial harmony and civil order, perhaps they can declare the nude beach off-limits to ethnic non-Koreans. Gyopos would still be welcome, of course, though not Westerners who've become naturalised Koreans, like some of those you see on TV. Otherwise, a beautiful idea will just end in bloody noses and blue... somethings.
Wait! Even better... Divide the nude beach up into walled sections: "Ethnic Koreans Only" and "Other Ethnicities and Korean Males". And for those of mixed racial heritage, a wading pool or something.
Sure, that would be highly offensive, and yes, grossly unfair for some (K-female/non-K-male)interracial couples. But look, either people learn to make some sacrifices, or this plan isn't going anywhere. And other than prohibiting foreigners outright, separating the sexes, or having "guards" marching all over the place, I don't see how else this nude beach idea stands a chance of working.
Of course, I could be wrong. |

one step at a time, kids. i think we should first concentrate on getting these girls to unbutton the top button of their collared shirts when they hit the beach. |

What got me is that it is in the name of well-being....
How the frig does making a nude beach have anything to do with the well-being fad??? |

I'm sure-as-Sparkx-is-almost-as-funny-as-that-great-guy-Squat-Toilet ready for a nudie beach. Hell, I've already applied for the position of chief sanitation officer, and maybe a part-time gig as donut vendor too.
----------
News just in: Vandals kicked a hole in the wall of the local nudist beach last night. Police are looking into it.
How do you spot a blind man on a nudist beach?
It's not hard.
Who is the most popular man at the nudist beach?
He's the one who can hold a large coffee in each hand, and ten ring-donuts. |

I went to a nudist beach in the Caribean (sp?) about 10 years ago. It wasn't pretty. Just a bunch of old people naked. Seriously, it's something that I probably should have had therapy for.
Now, imagine a nudist beach with adjummas, adjoshis, and (shiver) halmonies and harabojis. Eeeeeewwwwwe! |

Q: And who is the most popular woman at the nudist beach?
A: The one who can eat the last ring-donut!
I'd be satisfied with some Korean women wearing bikinis designed after 1956.

I read The Secrets of Incheon which is a book about an army guy's part in the landing at Incheon (he went there a few weeks before worked with locals, and got a whole bunch of info for the landing).
He mentioned how the female Koreans would pay the men no mind and wash up naked as the day they were born in front of the men folk. The men did not bat and eye either.
Has anyone else seen a reference to something like this in anything they read? Got me wondering if Korea went backwards with properity. |

I don't know if social class was a factor,or whether they were paid off by the photographer, but some of the oldest pictures taken in Korea show Korean ladies walking around with their bellies bare and their breasts showing under the vest of their hanboks. |

Is a nude beach ready for Koreans? |

I assume they'd use the necklace accessory. Cellphones will dangle comfortably around the necks of nude Korean people at the beach. |
