I'm too poor to dress well, but I got a haircut today. It was a mop. Now I look almost miltary. But my beautiful Korean co-worker said I look a lot better. So I feel validated by that remark.

"Because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like me"

If he can't get work, then he should go home. Leave him alone, why do you care when it doesn't directly affect you?
