Survey Finds Alarming Number of Korean Men Impotent
The survey, which the company says features a random sample of 9,000 men from Korea, China, Taiwan and Malaysia, shows sufferers from erectile dysfunction in Korea to make up 1 percent of men in their 20s, 4 percent of those in their 30s, 8 percent of those in their 40s, 15 percent of those in their 50s, and 24 percent for those in their 60s. That was twice the proportion found in Malaysia and Taiwan.
Prof. Lee Seong-won of Samsung Seoul Hospital, who helped with the survey, said, "There was a clear trend that in Asia, sufferers from erectile dysfunction try to hide their disease or fail to seek treatment, and this was particularly pronounced in Korea." He added, "Erectile dysfunction can be an early sign of diseases like heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure, so one mustn't take it lightly."

Sounds like smoking and drinking are finally recieving the spotlight.
Koreans still seem to have a great birth rate as compared to larger countries like Russia.
And, they seem to be winning. |

Koreans who suffered from impotence usually had other diseases that could help account for their affliction, with some 25 percent having diabetes, 22 percent heart disease, 21 percent high cholesterol, 21 percent high blood pressure, 14 percent enlarged prostates and 22 suffering from depression. |
These figures from the same article are also interesting...anyone know comparisons from other OECD countries? |

Viagra has become quite a phenomeneomenen here. I saw a Korean news segment about a big bust of Viagra smugglers last week.
I guess middle-aged Korean men are realising this stuff actually works as opposed to eating the meat of a dog that has been tied to a tree and beaten then butchered.
Actually, how long will it take for the enormously long list of "stamina" foods and drinks to be exposed as the BS it is?
Will ajeossi's continue to eat bosintang if Viagra is easily available? |

In korea i would guess that stress, depression, exhaustion from overwork, lack of physical excercise and heavy smoking/drinking would be the prime reasons. seems fairly obvious. |

Why don't you read the article before saying something stupid?

He added, "Erectile dysfunction can be an early sign of diseases like heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure, so one mustn't take it lightly." |
The first line I put in bold says that Korean rates of impotence are double those in countries Koreans usually look down on, Taiwan and Malaysia. If Koreans are smart enough to even know where those countries are. They usually aren't.
The second line in bold says that Asia, when compared to other continents, has a problem with accepting the reality of a problem and dealing with it in a mature manner. Especially in Korea. This would seem to be par for the course based on my experience with Koreans. Got a problem? Freak out and blame everyone else.
Instead of just saying "Other countries have the same problems, Korea is no worse than other countries," why don't you read, not a very popular activity in Korea I know, and see that you are obviously very much in the wrong?
Korean men smoke and drink more than normal. They are usually at work, not exercising. They worry a lot, it's all about the "han." I know all these things, they tell me themselves. They have a hard time admitting failure. They tend to kill themselves a lot. I've actually seen it happen. These are uniquely Korean problems, and as long as people like you refuse to acknowledge them Koreans will continue to die young, marry unhappily and have bad sex. Bully for me, I love spending time with their wives. |

Don't worry, Pyongshin is a competent troll and not much else. He doesn't really hate Korean men, or, for that matter, get any Korean p*ssy. At least, not the uninfected kind that you don't have to pay for. |
