|
|
I remember someone talking about a large pet store in the DongDae Mun market. I don't live in Seoul and I probably won't be going for sometime.
I wonder if someone would give me the contact information for this store. That way, I could simply order things and have them delivered.
Also, if I happen to go to Seoul, could you please tell me where this store is.
Thanks. |

SindanG station, line 2. It's basically behind Dongdaemun Stadium. Go to Sindang Stn. or take a cab to Sindang Shijang (Outdoor market). The Jonggyecheon is the recently converted canal/stream/river that runs through Seoul past Dongdaemun. The pet stores are next to the canal. |

Yea,
Go to Dongmyo station South West exit then South two blocks(river). Turn right. The stores are all around the block. There are over a dozen stores. |

We are talking about the same pet store strip. PS says come from the south and walk north. I say come from the north andwalk south.
There are pet stores on that whole block and not just on that street so make sure to walk around the block. The street looks like an alley butits a street. Theopen air market is really worth a visit. There is alot of activity, thingsfor sale and people seem to come from all over. |

whys that?
is there a better place to buy puppys?
I don't really want to buy one from a shelter because I would like to be able to pick and choose a little bit more. No offense. |

You can also go to Chungmuro station and walk East toward Dongdaemun Stadium Station. That is the Toegyero 4ga area and it has lots of pet stores. |

Generally animals that are abused and kept in unsanitary conditions with lots of contact with disease don't have a long life expectancy. And that pretty well describes how they do business in that particular market. I'd say the same about the Chungmuro area too. Good for buying supplies, if you don't have a problem giving money to animal abusers. |

In case your looking for a somewhat reputable place to buy a pet, I'd reccomend the pet store on the 4th floor or the I park mall/Yongsan station complex. Theres a Vet in house (currently its a guy from Busan) and although the english isn't very hot they can communicate decently and you can tell that the vet at least cares for the animal. (Cashier is nice but doesn't seem to be the biggest of animal enthusiasts) Anyways, I bought my puppy from there, and they basically cover you on all the first wave of vaccinations and shots (even give you a book to keep track of it) sell all the supplies, offer a limited "warranty" for the health of your pet, and can take care of anything pet related you may need. My dog is now 8 months old, very healthy, and has had all of his procedures taken care of and documented by this shop. I'd say the only problem is there isn't a huge selection, but if you were looking for something specific maybe you could ask them. |
