I think it would be more accurate to say that every government system in the world kills in one way or another (or at least harms). Some, granted, are worse than others. Those in power protect those in power - in every system. Free markets do their share of harm, as does communism and everything in between. A better discussion would be which system is most harmful.

Peace,
Daniel

I hate this PC BS of being subjective when the data given to us by past and present survivors of communism lead us to objective conclusions.

It's NOT a debate. History and FACTS have answered it for us.

COMMUNISM and SOCIALISM are abominations. We don't need to conduct a study on this. It's NOT A DEBATE!!!!!!

One would have to never been to a history class in their entire life to believe that these ideologies belong in the same platform as free market and capitalism. The latter have small problems, creative destruction, and collateral damage while contributing wealth, jobs, and innovation accross the world. Communism starves, kills, and stifles without contributing a damn thing other than misery.

Let's talk about the underlying meaning of "creative destruction" and "collateral damage." What exactly do those terms mean to the average person - remember, we're not sitting in a history or economics course; we're living in the real world.

Another thing - you need to focus. I said nothing about the glory of communism and the detriment of capitalism. I said every system destroys "in one way or another." Even anarchy. My last sentence: "A better dicussion would be which system is most harmful." You need to edit.

Daniel

And what do you think? You think this subject is up for debate? It's like debating what is more harmful, The common cold or Ebola?

Free market capitalism is not a system. It's just allowing people to work and trade without quotas, tarrifs, subsidies, and everything else that stifles economies. There is no debate about what is more harmful...communism kills; free markets make countries prosperous. What is there to debate? When facts and present day situations are observed there is nothing to discuss, except how much communism sucks.

Creative destruction and collateral damagae have to do with how vastly expanding and innovative markets can harm certain individuals in professions or fields that are no longer relevant. For example, the industrial revolution caused creative destruction for the agriculture industry...the camera caused creative destruction for protrait painters...etc. However, shielding from creative destruction results in a stagnet economy and world. It's an unfortunate result of innovation.

It was Marx who made up the term capitalism stating something along the lines of "its easier to villify an -ism"

On the whole, The Weath of Nations is much more relevant than any crap spewed out of any book writen by any commie. Socialism is what is ripping South America a new a-hole right now...it is not the answer in any way shape or form.
I am aware with the sendero luminoso, since those Maoist F***s are the ones that made me have to leave my country in the first place. I am better for it though, that idiot Toledo would nationalize air if he could, much to the happiness of 'the proletariat' that has absolutely no idea what in the hell in going on in the world. Government, and therefore nationalization are the biggest monopolies in the world

What I do not understand is why the idea of socialism/communism is still toyed around with as a relavent form of governing. Where has it worked? Even Sweden's private sector is in shambles right now, as they have not been able to produce new jobs, and the public sector just cannot absorb any more workers. Their economic pie is fixed, and if you account for 'early retirememt' and 'sick days' they have an unemployment of about 20%. AND THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL COUNTRIES UNDER THIS MODEL.

Also, how can we not make the correlation that free markets make countries rich and less corrupt. Does Singapore and Hong Kong have something that Indonesia and Myanmar don't? Nothing else but free markets.

I respect your ideas, but I just cannot agree that Marxism is anything BUT evil. Anything that involves coercion, even for what many say to be a 'greater good' is evil. Free markets, when not in bed with the government, involve choice. I prefer freedom.

Is this supposed to be some kind of test or are you just showing off? I would give it a failing grade in either case because A) Spanish is not a language one speaks to show off because B) it's so damn easy anyone can understand it so C) it doesn't make much sense to use it as a test of veracity.
