I'm eating in the food court next to Carrefour in Bundang, and the lady at the table next to me starts changing the baby's diaper -- in the middle of lunch, and on the dinner table. Nothing like looking at a poopy diaper and ass when you're enjoying your fried donk-ass-uh. I lost my appetite.
Another fun one are the ajummas who whip out an empty plastic bottle so their kid can pee in it in the store. |

I think it's because Korean culture is more advanced- they've realized that when it comes to kids you just have to dispense with the niceties. I'm sure this progressive attitude will make its way to the rest of the globe in due time.
Next question please.

He became disillusioned with us all again. He'll be back when he gets some more illusion. It's a cycle. |

2. smoking and eating at the same time
3. chewing loudly with their mouths open

Mandatory knives in school!
I've never understood why each of my little tykes is armed with a utility knife, which he/she uses to whittle away at desks or slice up erasers. I've only ever seen them accomplish one semi-useful task: they can be an acceptable substitute for scissors.
So why not get the kids to bring scissors? |

I've actually seen this once before back home a few years ago... At the food court at the mall an Asian woman was changing her baby's dirty diaper... Laid out on a table, stinking up the place and disturbing all the other customers... |

What are you talking about? In the UK this is very common. Loutish Brits even have the "courtesy" to do it in public phone boxes. That's when they aren't shouting, swearing in front of children, and leaving needles in parks where children play. I am rather puzzled as to why you have offered this up when you gave the thread the following title,
Things Koreans do that aren't done back home
It's somewhat surprising that you gave the thread this title and then proceeded to give examples of things that are very commonly done back home as well.

What? Are you talking about England?

Big deal. I have seen a white guy actually taking a dump in the street at night back home. |

bumping into you..stepping on the backs of your shoes...pushing you...without so much as an acknowledgement that you exist, much less an 'excuse me' (I have seen Koreans doing this to Koreans all the time, so the fact that I am foreigner has nothing to do with it.)
Yeah yeah...confusicanist culture...cultural relativism...ethnocentrism
how about...
just plain RUDE... |

Women making that awful loud popping noise while chewing gum, usually accompanied by a really dense look on their face. |

What? This doesn't happen back home? Have a look at the title of this thread. |
