A lot of you bright folks have been able to save up quite a bit of cash, so what kind of small business might you buy in your home country to keep yourself occupied and amply compensated for your precious labor???

You could also ask the question which kind of business are you going to start.

A contract killing service for neighbourhood dogs. I may also run a sideline providing meat for traditional Korean restaurants.

I'm interested in this topic because I'm planning to start a snowboard/skateboard shop in Canada after my stay in Korea. We're currently writing our business plan and working out details. I guess it's risky since my partner and I are looking at 15,000 cdn each for initial start-up costs. My plan is still to be a teacher in Canada but I figure I might as well give this boardshop business a good try while I'm still young without major committments. Anybody else planning to start a business or have any good advice?

A recruitment agency...specializing in teachers for Korea!!!! I hear there's good money and no experience needed, Wink plus low start up costs.

a special korean language school - employing hapless "native speakers', luring them with promises of great money, free airticket etc and then trapping them with a "contract" into all sorts of fun and games - he he!!!
