Seriously here..... i cannot believe how few water parks there are in this country.
As far as i know there is everland in seoul and i've heard there is one over in the south west corner.

I figger you could make absolutel KILLER money on something like this. build it in the side of the moutain; the season WAY longer than back home in edmonton (what...april to october?).

I am shocked that more koreans haven't thought of this. It seems like they'd be giving you a licence to print money.

unless...does anyone know of more water parks?

There is one near Ansan that has a nice slide and some circular streams & stuff. You make a good point, though~ we need more water parks.

Sokcho has a good one -- Waterpia. Quite a variety of indoor & outdoor pools, wavepool, slides, & a beatiful spa, all filled with natural thermal mineral water. Open year-round. (I love swimming outdoors on the snowiest coldest days of winter.)

It seems to do well for itself but I dont think its a licence to print money. They spend a lot on renovations & upgrades to keep a step ahead of the competition -- theres a handful of smaller facilities around here that also offer pleasant experiences. A major expansion is under construction now that looks like it will double the size & features it offers now.

There's one at Everland, near Suwom that is an okay time. It would have been really fun actually if there was about 50% less people. Having to wait for 1/2 an hour to go down the slide is not my idea of a good time.
