I'd go to a Canada Day picnic. I'm not Canadian but my name is Joe [Who?] so I'm sure that would earn me a free Molson or something, wouldn't it? What are the details????

Good point what better way to celebrate the 4th. Lets revive the southern custom of drinking 7 day old whiskey and shooting off guns in a heavily populated areas.
Of course we gonna have to like bbq a whole pig. None of those panty waist little korean pigs, we gonna get ourselves a real good old American hog, a live one still kicking.
Take that s.o.b. out to a park saw down some trees for firewood. Shoot that porker in the head. We will gut him and bleed him right in the park, then wrap him in tin foil. After burning a fire all night we will chuck the porker in it, bury him in coals, then bury the coals in dirt. Leave the sucker to stew in his own juices for about 10 hours I think, not sure will have to check.
During this festivities of Americanism we will drink corn liqour, be loudly obnoxious, discharge our firearms at planes, dogs, and some times ugly small children. Gotta be careful about the kids they move around to much and they are hard to hjt when your drunk.
Sounds like a 4th celebration to me. |

do they have any beer besides molson?
if not there's no real reason to go. that shit makes korean beer taste like dom perignon.
i have considered going but 'canada' doesn't get me all hot and bothered like dudes in beer commercials.
if i go, look for the drunk guy and come say hello. |

Dan, I think you are getting a little bit over-excited and leaning toward the sarcastic here. I think burgers and hot dogs are fine for the BBQ. You may disagree, but in my experience the essence of American BBQ is lack of imaginitiveness. Also, getting and killing a pig would be too messy for me. All that you said about shooting off guns though is OK. Also we need some bombs and various fireballs. |

The food last year was provided by Outback steakhouse, and yet was better than any meal I've ever eaten at Outback.
Maybe the next time I visit their restaurant I should show up with several hundred friends and demand that we eat outside? |

They are charging 43,000 won for admission, expect you to register and pay well in advance, and to top it all off they've got a "No Chinese, Russians, or Nigerians Allowed" sign right there on the website. I think I will DECLINE. |

I thought the tickets were expensive last year, but you do get a full cooked meal (shrimp and steak last time), live music and general entertainment, and your first 2 beers free so it wasn't bad value in the end.
The chinese/russians/nigerians thing must be something to do with the venue being the UN compound.
When I arrived last year I didn't have my passport or any ID so had to have a security quiz at the door. It went like this
"So you're from England?"
"Yes"
"What's the capital of England?"
"London"
"OK- in you go" |
