I wouldn't say those gals are ugly, exactly; just that their horrible plastic surgery is a lot more noticeable sans make-up.
But this phenomenon is rife in Hollywood, too.

Those pics demonstrate exactly what I experienced not long ago.
It was a Tuesday morning. I was at that Starbucks in front of Ewha University. In a half hour or 40 minute time span about 1000 girls, seriously, walked down the slope class-ward. Maybe 10 or 20 of those girls were worth a second look. No makeup, slovenly hair, dressed like me, etc...
On a Saturday afternoon strutting around all made up, you'd think anywhere between 20-40% of them were fine!
Conclusion: sans makeup, nice hair and pretty clothes, they ain't as hot as they look sometimes.
There aren't as many babes here as we think. A babe looks good no matter what. Am I wrong? |

You're not wrong at all. A truly gorgeous girl doesn't need makeup to look great. My girlfriend looks great without makeup, I'm a lucky guy  I think the reason why a lot of western guys think that Korea is a land of gorgeous women is simply down to the fact that most Korean girls try really hard to look their best. These same guys often complain about how stuck up all these Korean girls are.
Every country has beautiful women, but many western women (not all) look like monsters with or without makeup. Overweight, inflated egos, talk too much etc.
There are beautiful women everywhere and fugly ones too! What matters more in reality is spirit and attitude. The biggest problem with many western women is that they're obnoxious and loud, the biggest problem with many Asian women is that they don't speak their mind and are too passive.
I'm a picky git when it comes to girls and I'm lucky to have one of the best of them. And no I wont post a pic of her to give saddos wanking material! |

Ok, that was the funniest I have ever seen on Dave's. I'll be using that one. By the way, even that one is wearing makeup in both pics. I'm a girl so I can tell. She's just wearing different shades of foundation. Lipstick is on in both pictures.
Keith in Korea is saying nothing new. I have seen that before, and seen pics of the people saying those things *COUGH*

As one who has said the make-up line all the time, I have NEVER said anything dumb like the latter.
But I wouldn't be surprised if there are dumb asses out there who do. |

A little stalker-like if you ask me. Like the rest of you guys who use photos of hot Korean "talents" as your avatar. Sorry to be so harsh but it seems a bit fantasy land to even give a rats arse about these lame ass actresses. Put up photos of all your Korean ex's then we'll have a real discussion about whether or not they do make up well.  |
