The Coming Anarchy, by Robert D. Kaplan
and
The Lexus and the Olive Tree, I don't remember the author, but you can find it on Amazon.

Until "The war on terror" erupted, I always thought that the collapse of the Soviet Union would mean we were forced to look inward and improve our "demcracy" (NOT), but it hasn't.
What there is is denial...
that we are not socialist in any way despite the fact we are.
And the notion that our system is democratic (NOT), when it's actually more capitalist than anything.
NO electoral college.
Un-Freeze congressional size.
If we don't have government of the people by the people for the people themselves, then let's have a republic in proportion to our population.
Not government of the people by the pigs for the pigs.
I believe such a staement is strictly bi-partisan. |
