I'm aware that the Koran is a holy book and defilement is frowned upon, but at some point, The Koran becomes a political manual ie The Islamic Republic of Iran. That would make the Koran an equivalent in legal terms as The Bill of Rights, The Magna Carta or The Communist Manifesto.

Its also like The Jewish Concept in that Jew refers to a religion and race. If someone made an anti Semitic joke against Madonna if she converted, it would not be valid. She's not a Semite.

So, could you draft a policy where Koran defilement would be appropriate?

You may do whatever you want at any time as long as you don't harm a human life. And hurt feelings don't count. Especially feelings that are hurt due to ones absurd faith in mysticism.

Ok, I'll try again. When can The US gov't defile a Koran while interogating a prisoner supposing they declare The Koran a political manual and thus loses the religious protection exemption?

Only after you have admitted your moral and intellectual bankruptcy since your goal is to defeat a small minority of people who may or may not be devout Moslems, not inflame the entire Moslem world.

The majority of the worlds Muslims live in Islamic states.

The Koran is a political manual that needs becomes a religious book when necessary.

If The US ever had a declared war with The Islamic State of Iran, would Koran defilement be permissable psycological warfare?

Dude, no. The majority of Muslims live in Muslim-majority countries.

The only Islamic states are Saudi Arabia and Sudan now.

Your suggestion above contradicts your whole premise on this thread. Defiling the Koran as psychological warfare would only work if the Koran had a primarily religious value.

Do you think marxists get stressed out when someone burns a copy of DAS KAPITAL?

Maybe a bit too harsh.

Islam should be regarded as a cult. So the Koran is as sacred as The Watchtower.

There are fervent political believers. Ted K killed and maimed people for his political beliefs.

Do you think some Americans get warped when the flag is burned? Many here want to keep the opportunity to burn the flag.

I understand many Muslims are offended when the Koran is defiled. Therefore no Koran defilement must occur. Many are also offended by the horrors of war, yet their sensitivities are not considered and war continues.

The Iranians in particular, had a very popular revolution. They love Islamic politics. There is an election going on now where they can choose between a hardliner and a "reformer" and the race is very close.

Al Queda is a political organization. They "took over" Afghanistan for instance. Its also been argued that these people are not Muslims since they use terror. They are politicians. Offending them on religious grounds by defiling the Koran is a moot issue.

And Christianity should be considered more "legitimate" because...

Religion by its very nature is idiotic, designed by the power hungry to control the stupid. So let's not get into the debate as to which religion is more legit.

The truly strong, the independent have no need for God and Allah because they know that such concepts are logocentric bullsh*t.

Not really. The Guardian Council runs the show. It disallowed many candidates from running in the election. Voter turn-out was quite low (although official stats say 62.5%, just what Khameni predicted before the election).

"Islamic politics" as you put it, is forced upon the Iranians. I doubt many of them love it.
