well....next sep, but this is fricking exciting. i will be turning into a 30-year-old arthritic lifeless body next sep, but it'd be still fun to celebrate my b-day in seoul, korea with my old friends.

Given that my average relationship is about two months, I never make plans to do anything that far in the future with anyone I'm seeing. It's nice that you can, though. I'll still be here when you come, I assume.

yes, i am one of those freaky people think it's detrimental to have a five year plan at all times.

Huh? Is that really what you mean? In what way can a five year plan hurt you? I'm glad you warned me!

If we're still here, you will stop by and see the family, won't you?

I've been thinking about age a lot lately, how getting older is a strange experience. 20 to 30 seemed ok and I did a bunch of stuff (college, travel, marriage, babies), then I blinked and the kids are teenagers and I own a house and pay lots of taxes...and I'm in some kind of harness and the wife is snapping the whip. Forty is coming up quick.

Ten years gone just like "snap" .

Maybe I'm in some kind of time warp and by September I could be 50, even 60. I'd like to go to Korea this fall too but I'm afraid my walker will get caught in that little space between the subway-car and the platform. I could fall and break my artificial hips..."The Artificially Hip" would be a cool name for a band...big hair and 20 keyboards and synthesizer-guitars...some chesty Australian lead singer...kind of squawks like a goose in heat...Cool...the dementia is kicking in now...

The neat thing is that an ever-increasing portion of the female population now appears attractive, perhaps even do-able...some chunky thirty-something housewife pulling out of the walmart parking lot in a '92 mini-van (Impeach Clinton and Jesus Saves bumper stickers), big fat sun glasses and the old idaho-poof hairdo...Hot damn, did she just wink at me?!...

.............

Don't worry Harin, you're still a spring chicken.

Yesterday my girlfriend took me to a KTF office to get a cell phone couple plan with her... I figure if that's not some new level of commitment in a Korean relationship, I don't know what is.

Why do you feel your relationships are that short? Do you just lose interest? I used to be that way.

Will you meet corporal? She would be interested to see that you really are Wombat. After all, corporal is always right. Isn't she?
