Being Canadian, I can't say any American.

I'll have agree with saying journalists would make decent leaders. So, I would pick Peter Jennings, although he's got lung cancer so it would be a short-lived Prime Ministership.

Bill Good. Canadian talkshow host and news anchor. His name says it all, as his government would only pass "good bills".

I do see the idea of dead people was introduced. In that case, I'd go, without a doubt, for Thomas Jefferson, VP Benjamin Franklin.

In fact, I'd dismiss democracy and make them the immortal emperors of the USA.

Not really, but it beats choosing Bush as ideal.

If we are to agree with someone alive and contemporary, then what about Oprah?

I mean that seriously.

Micheal Ignatieff would be a good choice for Canada.

I think he brings a balance of understanding of human rights along with intimate knowledge of international terrorism. He would bring years of experience studying international relations as well as global security to Canadian politiccs. I believe that he would promote a stronger federal government, a more internationaly influential Canada, while maintaining a liberal position and ideology.
