It shouldn't because it isn't. Imaginary friends can never be legitimate.
Seriously, if America would stand to benefit from taking a dump on the Koran, poop away. Also, if the Mullahs think burning a flag will help them, go nuts (well, more nuts). Either way it is just attacking symbolism. |

Take one copy of all the daft books books people die for, wrap them all up in flags from every country, then burn the lot. Then spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder, expecting to be assassinated by crazy mothers from all directions. |

The idea of Islam as a politic isn't something made up one night while alone in my apartment chain smoking in my underwear. There's been plenty of discussion on the matter. Type in "Political Islam"Google and you'll get plenty of hits.
I tell people that I remain loyal to The Holy Roman Catholic Church more so for the cultural aspects that religious but in the end its the religious part that wins. Like when you are close to death and you need to get things off your chest. Several years ago, I used to do lots of moutaineering. I used to pray a lot then.
I tell people I'm Catholic because the women are beautiful, the food is the best an we throw the best parties. You want to me to give that up for some secularites in butch haircuts? |

If you go to the bookstore and buy a copy of the Koran you have the right to burn it if you want to(in a safe manner of course). It is your property and you can do so as you wish. The same holds true for the Bible or any other religious text. Freedom of expression should trump religious intolerance. |

Not good with computers so may stuff the quote function, but why do you assume I'm a Christian? I'm not. |

Hmm, because a) you said Islam, and not organized religion in general b) therefore I assumed you were religous, and what are most westerners? christian.
Reasonable assumption if you ask me. |

Allow me to assume. You're a liberal. You're a Westerner.
I assume these things which may of course be wrong, because of your assumption.
Liberals often assume that any Westerner who criticises Islam or Eastern religions in general is a christian.
They also often assume that anyone who criricises their political beliefs is to their right.
It's not always the case. |

Yeah, I've never been to a genuine Mardi Gras, but I'd guess it's a lot more fun than the English protestant pancake day equivalent. |

Catholic food - French |
Hmmm...From what I hear, only about 10% of the French go to Church services. I also hear that about 10% of the French are gay.
In my opinion, crepes Suzette et al is gay food. |

So it looks like I won the food issue, the beautiful woman issue and the party issue. As always. Again, why should should I trade that in for bad food, butch haircuts and bad parties. That can never be cool no matter how much peer pressure is applied. |
