So first, on Thursday, we have one Keystone Cop saying:

Quote:
Cheney: Iraq Insurgency in its Last Throes

And the White House backs him.

This week, we have another Keystone Cop saying:

Quote:
Rumsfeld: Iraq Insurgency Could Last Years

Are these people pathetic, or what? Rolling Eyes

I've never seen anything so effing stupid in all my life.

Interesting worldview these guys have:

Quote:
Meantime, the spokesman says the administration stands by Cheney's assessment of Iraq in a recent T-V interview. McClellan says the terrorist and regime elements there are clearly desperate -- since they've got nothing to offer but chaos and death.

So, the fact that the insurgents are inflicting all this chaos and death is to be taken as evidence that the Americans are WINNING?

"Don't worry, mein Furher. All this chaos and death on the streets of Berlin shows just how desperate these Russians are!"

Don't worry. Tuesday night Bush will speak to the nation and sort it all out. We'll be back to having a unified party line to listen to. (Best bet: something along the lines of what Rummy said. Happy talk will stop.)
