Here is what Kennedy said:

"In baseball, it's three strikes you're out," Kennedy told Rumsfeld. "Isn't it time for you to resign?"

But remember when he introduced Clinton and Gore back in 1998 or 1999 as "our home run kings, Mike McGuire and Sammy Suser".

I'm just glad to see old Teddy is getting better at making baseball analogies.

Just kinda noticed ... this thread seems to be about Kennedy rather than about whether Rummy oughta keep his job.

Any ideas about that?

Start up a new thread with the title "Joe Bloggs calls for Rummy to resign" and then Kennedy won't get a look in. If I started a thread with the title "Trent Lott backs Gitmo" I am sure the lefties around here would be having a field day.

I asked for ideas about this, and the one you offer is that Kennedy is a bigger name than Joe Bloggs. That's pretty much what I was shooting for, the notion that this thread is about bashing libs much more than taking a good look at Rummy.

And thanks for saving me the work of showing it.
