Is this one true or false these days? I keep hearing people argue about it.

Anyone get an E-2 at a Korean consulate in Japan in one day RECENTLY... as in the past 3 weeks? When? Where?

I have heard from several places that it can't be done in one day any more -- not even in Osaka.

Yeah, I need to know too. Am leaving tomorrow.

Great planning by my school. "Go tomorrow".

As long as you have your "blue paper" from immigration. If you don't have that, you won't get your E-2!

Why would it change? Of course you can get a visa in one day in Osaka. I've done it four times!!!

Even if you arrive the moment they open in the morning in Fukuoka, you must still wait until the next day. That's what I was told when I was there, and I didn't really mind.

I was impressed by the location of the Korean embassy, half a block from a Hard Rock Cafe, HMV, shopping mall and the major baseball stadium (hence convenient transit).

Stay overnight and enjoy the city. It's quite nice.

Simple answer...

Osaka - one day

Fukuoka - two days

Dosent that mean you have to submit your papers before lunch time?

When I was in Osaka, people came and brought their paper work in at 4. They got it the next day after 2. They were told they could not get their paperwork in the morning.

They had a flight back to Korea at 4, and they said they may miss it. Don't know what happened, but does anyone know why they could not get back the paper work before noon?

I had a few days there, so it did not worry me, but....

No, you will usually get to the Embassy during their lunch break if you take the morning flight from Incheon. They return from lunch about one, you do the paperwork and get the visa by 4, you're back on the plane by 5:30. Arriving by 4 is the end of their business day so you're not going to get service then.
