Yes they have.

A few years ago, when Park Se-Ri hit it big, there was a discussion about why Korean women were doing well in golf (and archery). Koreans were saying it was something genetic. Short legs and low center of gravity. Or something else equally silly.

I just think they are talented, work hard and right now there is a slug of successful Korean women. Same thing with Swedish men in tennis.

When they interviewed Birdie they asked her that question; "Why do Korean women do so well in golf?" Her answer, "Koreans work hard!".

I spoke with a golf teacher in Seoul Pub, nice guy, he trains Korean golfers and knows several of the pros and he said the same thing. Compared to their Westerner counterparts the Koreans girls work their bums off in training.

she as not born in Korea, but like many, Michelle Wie's is the career I am most interested in following. Once she decides to go pro she is going to be one rich little girl.

Good genetics and parents who are pushing their children to succeed.

I recently taught a kid who was going to travel abroad on some foreign tour. He will leave in December, yet he has been out of school training 8 hours a day to improve his golf game.

I think anyone can be successful, but they need family support and a watchful coach (usually parent) to make sure that they put in the long hours needed to be successful.

No they will eventually fail. They seem to work hard, but it is just on the surface. They are born lazy and stupid. Their lack of imagination will drag them down sooner than you could imagine. What you are seeing is just out of luck and some bribes given to who knows whom the same way they did in the latest WorldCup!

After writing the above, I think I finally understood why people keep putting down this same sh*t again and again. It writes smooth. It's releasing. It makes me feel more important. It makes me high. Laughing

Why are there Korean and American golfers on the same list?

I compiled this list and I wanted to put both on here, but with those who were born in the US, I did indicate it. The rest, based on my research, were born in Korea. Now they all have the Korean blood running through their veings regardless of where their mother had them delivered. Michelle and Christine are Americans, but they are Korean Americans.

Another Korean, Meena Lee just finished 2nd in the match play of the top 64 golfers on the lpga.

As far as Pak Se Ri goes, her caddy pulled the plug on her to carry the bag for Paula Creamer the hot young American golfer, just before the season began. A caddy is incredibly important to a pro's game-just speculating, but that may be the reason she is struggling this year.
