So I read the little announcement on the front of the Herald today which proclaimed the Weekender section will now be printed on Saturdays instead of Fridays.
Bravo, f**ksticks! Now I have approximately 5 minutes to plan my weekends! Goddam f**king retards. I quit. |

if you're relying on the Korea Herald to tell you what to do at the weekend...
(yeah I really have no end to that sentence, but it's a crap newspaper!) |

Lot of the entertainment weeklies in North America come out on Thursday to give people one extra day to plan their weekend. Yeah, what a bonehead move. |

I have noticed the quality of this paper, (if I can even say that?) has really gone down hill when compared to (can I even say compare) the times. Both papers suck donky dick, but the times seems to be trying to suck a lot less donky dick, where as the herald goes for it. I have no idea what the herald is trying to do. It is part joke, part government stooger, part we pull the wool over your eyes, right? don't we? kind of paper. |

I have been reading the on-line edition for a long time. But this morning I deleted it from favourites as it now comes complete with a load of garbage pop-ups and a terrible thing called my-linker that puts a full screen advert on at random times and which can only be closed by pressing the link.

Considering that last week's Weekener was about a kids activity in CHICAGO,....does it really matter if it comes out on Saturday or not? |

Sounds like fun
Some of my most enjoyable weekends were decided Saturday morning over a hot cup of morning beverage. |

I dream of opening a non-crappy newspaper in Korea that'll tell it like it is. Oh well, I can dream. |

no better than K Scene, which has no listings of the live music scene. But this is partly due to the clubs not knowing who they will have play the following week, so it's vitually impossible for the magazines (which are biweekly) to tell anyone who's out there. Doesn't make advertising easy for the musicians, and for anyone interested in live music, there's no way for you to know unless you go by the clubs. |

I don't mind them for arts and business reporting, although their news and business reporting tends to be indentical (I think they draw their news from the same pool). It's not GREAT arts reporting, mind you, but it's at least in English and something to read. I tend to buy both KH and KT on Friday to find out about up coming movies and stuff. KT I buy on Saturday for the LA Times insert and they have art gallery listings. |

"Mylinker" is evil. One of the networks (KBS? SBS?) tries to infect any computer in our house that visits their home page with this adware virus thing.

Is it really so hard for Koreans to plan two weeks in advance?
They're like this when they live abroad, too. We often get calls from local Korean communities inviting us to their weddings and birthday parties, never with more than 12 hours advance notice. Not to be ungrateful for the invite, but did they not know the birthday was coming a month ago?

I pity you having no choice but to stick with that crappy konglish newpaper before playing the "Korean Expert" in here.
Those who come here are not capable of getting information directly from Korean sources. Those who can don't bother to come here. That is Dave's Cafe's tragedy.
