16 out of 20, which is a lot better than I thought I'd do. Luckily, I'm a good guesser. Some of them were so obsure or really obvious. |

Its off to summer school for you! But go enjoy the Canada Day barbecue first. |
But I do not care a fig! What a boring quiz.
I like a lot of Canadian people but cannot find it in my heart to forgive them for Celine Dion and other offenses. I find it hardest to forgive them for saying that the genius Bell is Canadian, he was a bloody Scot for f sakes.
Canada is just a little boring, a slightly left wing and ever so slightly more civilised version of the US. With slightly more polite people and slightly less chance of getting shot n
by a crazy crackhead.
Canada where cheese on chips is considered a delicacy. |

It figures. Not bad for a half-Canadian. My mom was born in Sask.
So what does that make me? Still an old ugly fat guy.
Since I am half-Canadian, should I say "e?" instead of "eh?"
Just Kidding.
Happy Birthday Canada!
(I know a day late, but it's the thought that counts. Besides, I was busy covering for all of our Canadian Teachers, who had Canaukitist. A 24 hour flu like thing that happens only to Canadians on July 1. What a rough way to spend a holiday, being sick. I tried taking over some food for them but they were so sick they could not answer the door or the telephone. 2 of them answered their cell phones, but seem to be in the same very noisy doctor's office. )
Long live the Maple Leaf,
NK. |

Canadian history is pretty boring. Most of the excitin/interesting stuff or periods in Canadian history like the Great Depression, WWI, WWII didn't really have much to do with us. It all started elsewhere.
Aside from the rebellion of 1837, Manitoba rebellion, and the October crisis, it's really not all that interesting. Even the story of how we gained 'independence' is pretty dull. I don't even think people gave a hoot about Dominion day until like the 1920s or something. Oh well. Better to be a peaceful nation with a boring history I suppose. |

17 out of 20. Missed the name of the MacDonald gov't scandal and the name of the Quebec financial institution. Also missed the percentage of exports to the States in 1900. So I wonder, if it was so low back then, where did our exports primarily go? Europe? Was there much trade to the Pacific nations? Or did the numbers get inflated by exports to a sovereign Newfoundland? |
