I heard about it through the grapevine. If you have a flight on Asiana in the near future, I would give them a call.

Nevermind. I heard the mgmnt. took the union leaders to a big dinner at the Hyatt, got them drunk, and the union backed-down. Rolling Eyes

Really??? LOLOLOL.

I heard it on the news last night when my husband was watching it.. don't know the details though.

Really? So I don't have to worry about being short a ticket come late July? (Not to be callous- I certainly think flight attendants are paid too little in general).

I have a ticket confirmed with Asiana that is expensive, and am on a waiting list for JAL. How much longer might I need to wait to find out (based on others' experiences)? The JAL flight is oh so much cheaper. Should I harrass Xanadu a bit more? The clock's a-tickin'...

I don't know how long the strike is going to go on for, but I'm told (by a pilot's wife) that they're pushing for longer rests between flights. Right now they might do a 12 hour shift, have 18 hours for turnaround, and then have to do another 12 hours.
They want this to be increased to a minimum 30 hours rest.

Oh yes and they want 4 sets of golf clubs for pilot's usage at each airline hotel
