I am taking a trip up to Seoul next weekend...just wanted to know if this game is available...played the demo....it was awesome! The only problem I noticed is RAM.....so I will pick up some extra ram, IF the game is in Korea.

I think i remember hearing bad things when it was compared to the original, so perhaps it'd be better just picking that up/sticking with it.

Yeah, its out.
The Korean version has English language support, something I only found out after shelling out 65 bucks for an imported US version at Yongsan.
The minimum spec needed to run the thing is pretty demanding:

Playes BF1942, Vietnam and now I built a system for max performance
for BF2.

If there are any interested, we (those in Korea) should start up a server to minimize the ping, maximize the fun.

And I bought it online, can't remember the place.
But you can gotto http://www.ea.co.kr and find the game there.
Note that you will have to have a friendly Korean handy to help out since it is in Korean.
I bought it in Korean and it installed in English.

Those system requirements are comparatively low....not demanding at all.

Hmm ok I will go buy it next weekend...and more ram...might get a 1 gb stick, and use the 2 256 chips i already have....of course I will need a new motherboard...and suggestions? I need 3 ram slots but 4 would be wonderful!

Ok ram 2x256 DDR 266

CPU 2 ghz p4 (i can oc it to 2.4ghz easy!)

gf card is a geforce fx 5700 128mb

I want to pick up a 1 gb stick of ram.
and...well a motherboard.

A motherboard that supports overclocking is what I really need.

Well, you are almost there. DDR266?! For a P4?! Seeing as they have a 400Mhz bus, guess you have an older "Willamette" core.

Asus P4P800? That supports the 533 bus.

Most (if not all) mainboards support overclocking. I use Asus...they are overclocker friendly.

Anyhow, you will need an "older" board...one that supports the 533Mhz system bus (socket 478, I believe). Be careful when you shop...you don't want to be stuck with a mobo that only supports the 800Mhz Pentium 4s.

Stick with the big names....don't buy an Intel-made board. They, of course, don't support overclocking.

Hmmm 800mhz...that would make a huge difference in gaming.
What kind of deals are there for motherboard cpu combos?

yeah...266...had a 333mhz 512meg chip...it went bad on me...had to take out the old ram.....

Wrench....being a smart one is ok, but please don't be a dumb one.



Check the specs on the P4P800...it's also backwards compatible. It came out at the transitional time between buses on the P4s. I said this one because it will go to 800 if the OP upgrades.

Ok I will look into that motherboard. Depending on my budget, i might be able to pick up a 800 fbz P4, ...or i might not...

Then I could stick with my current p4....
