You can't really compare crime statistics in the U.S. and Canada because you are dealing with different population sizes and densities. It's hard to make comparisons at all because so few nations publish the amount of crime statistics that the U.S. does every year -- they tend to conceal these things. So if other nations want to knock our standards, first they should meet our standards -- publish declassified documents, publish crime statistics, whatever. They should enter the playing field and see where they really stand instead of taking potshots from the sidelines.

Disrespecting Canada: demonstrate how Canada covers up crime statistics. Then perhaps suggest why we would do so. Fit that into your narrow worldview and tell me again why comparisons don't matter. Perhaps even discuss the number of guns used in crimes in Canada that originate in the US.

Finally, I must say that your comment that U.S. gun manufacturers are somehow the ultimate cause of firearms-related crime in Canada is, of course, illuminating. Something I might expect a Korean or Chilean to say. Not worthy of a Canadian to speak such simplistic nonsense. I'm kind of surprised to see that, actually.

Except that Korea and Chile don't share an enormous, un-guarded, porous border with you.

So, you've decided rather than argue the point you'll just call me Anti-American. I'll continue: homicide rates in Canada are about the same as in America. It's just that when guns are involved, and it's much less common, these guns are usually un-registered illegal guns smuggled in from the States. Reduce the actual number of guns in the US, reduce the number of guns in Canada. Canadian homicide rate would, perhaps, go down. Guns in Korea and Chile are seldom brought into the country in trunks of cars by Americans and sold on the streets. Seldom.

As for talking down to me and telling me not to compare myself to greats, I think America would do well to compare herself to Canada in many respects. It's your snide attitude that creates hostility.

Wah.. Cry me a river. I am sorry but when you join up to be a soldier don't whine. You get paid to kill people and puting your life on the line is part of that, when you do get killed tough cookies(whether its a female or a male soldier its all the same).

Mercenaries are profesional soldiers and they don't constitute as partizans they should be cought and punished for killing unarmed soldiers. To be honest with you they should have their throats slit.

Americans made their own bed now they have to sleep in it. I feel absolutly no symphathy for Americans. Iraq didn't attack US.

Hmmm....let me guess: You're Canadian. Of course you are.

No, he's not.

I'm not usually one to cross threads let alone cross forums and I wouldn't know Wrench from any other tool in the box, but I'm taking him at his word from this forum...go ahead, read his post:

Sounds like he's Canadian to me. Not that it matters much but those typical "I hate America" types on this board are usually Canadian or ultra liberal...often times both.

blah, obviously not all Canadians have those sentiments but, on this board, there seem to be many. And, I didn't assume anything. I read his other posts first.

I agree with the majority of Americans who now believe that Iraq was a mistake. It's nice to know that the majority of America and I see eye to eye on something!

Well, now my Korean experience is not such a waste of time.

I've learned here that there are indeed Canadians who hate the U.S. Didn't even suspect that before.

It took you coming to Korea to learn this? You never surfed part of the internet where Canadians post before you came to Korea?

Anyways, happy fourth of July! I'll be celebrating it with the same enthusiasm with which I utterly ignored Dominion Day ... er I mean Canada Day.

Cite this, cite that. No. It's too darn hot and this is far too boring. I'm right, you're wrong. Feel the hate.

Slit their throats and put them in a garbage dump

The initial story
The first story was that a suicide bomber drove his car into a truck full of soldiers, and four female Marines were killed. The bombing was followed by a firefight. The next story is a few were missing.

More news trickled out
The suicide car bomb and ensuing small-arms fire killed at least two Marines and four others were missing and presumed dead. At least one woman Marine was killed and 11 of 13 wounded were female.

It now appears that the four missing female Marines were found in a garbage dump, and that they had their throats slit. We know IDF mercs have been killing Iraqis this way for 2 months now. We also know that 19 IDF mercenaries shot at Marines, and were captured and had the hell beat out of them during their captivity at Camp Fallujah, and someone important got them out of Iraq in a hurry.

This type of story only motivates people and pisses them off -- it doesn't make them say, "oh, we need to run away!" Everyone but the weenie Democrats in the US who want to use it as a political stump to better themselves. And that's sick.
