Anyone know if the Taylor/Hopkins fight will be available at a bar somewhere in Seoul? A shot in the dark, I know... have to ask just in case though.

Doubtful, but I will be watching it on bit torrent on Sunday Cool
If by some remote chance it was being televised, I would definitely be there. Should be a good one.

Hopkins by decision by the way.

The last fight I know of to be broadcast in Korea was Lewis-Tyson. There have been plenty of big fights since then, and not a one of them has been shown anywhere I know of. And I've searched high and low.
De La Hoya - Hopkins popped up on cable about a month after the event, and that was much bigger than Hopkins - Taylor, so I'm not holding my breath.
I'll be watching it on BT.

I say the young bull overruns the old lion. Normally it's my policy to not bet against a champion with a track record of always finding a way to win, but the Kostya Tzsyu loss has shaken my faith a little in that regard. But the Tzsyu fight isn't the reason I'm going with Taylor. That came out of nowhere. With Hopkins however, the writing has been on the wall in his last two fights - especially against Eastman. He clearly didn't have much stamina in that fight. Not as much as he had against De La Hoya anyway. He boxed for about a minute every round, and was able get away with it because Eastman wouldn't risk charging him. The lesson for Taylor is that he won't be able to outbox the cagey old lion, so he'll have to use the two weapons in which he outguns Hopkins - strength and endurance. He MUST take the role of the aggressor, and pressure Hopkins for the full three minutes. The problem is that he has to "pitch a perfect game" (is that the correct Americanism?). You can't make mistakes against one of the best counter/body punchers in the business. Hopkins will attack the body, and if the fight makes it to the later rounds, Taylors strength and endurance advantage will be negated from all the wind Hopkins will have knocked out of him. Because of that, I can't see Taylor winning in 12. I'll go out on a limb and predict Taylor by TKO in the 6th.

The X-factor: Will Taylor handle the magnitude of the occasion? He's never fought anyone near the level of Hopkins, but on the other hand, he still hasn't learned how to lose yet, has he?

Hopkins by decision. I don't think you can look at that Eastman fight and say the writing is on the wall. Hopkins fought as hard as he had to. I think he knows he's stepping up the competition, and will perform accordingly. Eight rounds to four, Executioner.

Agreed, and if he gets past taylor and goes after a light weight (whether it be Johnson, Tarver, or Roy Jones) he will get his ass handed to him.

I think a cadaver could beat Roy Jones at this point.

Now Tarver or Johnson would depend on the weight I think. 175 no, 168, maybe.

I dont think Tarver could make 168. I think his everyday weight is around 190. He would be way too big for hopkins.

As for RJ, maybe you are right, but I can still wish he was still unbeatable Crying or Very sad

I thought Hopkins won the close fight. I take him on a K.O in the rematch.
