I've had 4 jobs my whole life (I'm 27). They are:
- McDonald's employee (1 1/2 years, high school)
- Customer service rep and head of mail order division for a small home theater and DVD retailer (while in college, through nepotism)
- ESL teacher, Korea (2 years)
- My current job, which I've held since 2002: Professional Cheese Taster

You're being sarcastic, right?

I might've told the story of the friend of mine during my school days who had a job at a factory putting packets of fudge into boxes, given half the chance... But I'd better not. He didn't get business cards anyway.
Mine? Senior Technical Consultant, or Secretary of my College Mountaineering Club. |

Manager, Documentation Services. I managed one temp employee. The title was a requirement for me coming back to that job. I discovered in a small software company you can so tailor the job to the way you work that they would have to hire a super genius to figure out how you do everything and they'll do nearly anything to just get you back.
Once in Seattle, I got kicked into a huge corner office with a view of a mountain range. That was pretty prestigious.
Columnist for a major Canadian daily. That was a good one. Loads of free computer games.
Arts Editor for my university paper. That was a good early one. Loads of free CDs.
Author. Looks good on a resume.
Writer, CBC Windsor. Looks good on a resume too.
I worked for a friend's PR company and she kept wanting me to take the title "Account Executive". I made her call me a "Senior Technical Editorial Associate" |
