The new harry potter book is out tomorrow. I've got my copy reserved and am planning on spending the rest of the weekend reading it.

I am hoping it will be on sale at Incheon Airport first thing in the morning.. Or at the airport in Bangkok. I'd really like to have it to read while I'm there!

This is the one where Harry is supposed to lose his arm fighting his best friend, right?

I'm headed to the Incheon english bookstore first thing, I dunno when it gets open so I'll be arriving there for 9am and camping out until the store opens, I would be gutted if they didn't have it in stock.

Any idea wot price I should expect to pay?

The store opens just before 6am, primarily to serve coffee to all the businessmen who work early on Saturdays. I'll be there at about 4:30am; if you want to hook up just look for the guy with the trendy peroxided afro and pink backpack - that'll be me.

I hear they're banning the book in Korea (rounding up all issues from bookstores and monitoring all income parcels) because in this installment, JK Rawlings changes Hogwarts to Hagwons when it's taken over by a cleptomaniacal Korean family that force-feed the children kimchee and rice, which saps all their magical powers except the ability to split the seats of their pants open by on-command farting. But they can't fly. Just fart. Oh yes, and dogs are not safe at all, as the children find out on "Surprise Stew Tuesdays".

The Ministry of Culture and Information understandably took exception to these changes and has placed a nationwide ban on the book. I'm wholeheartedly in support of the Korean stance on this issue.

I've got my copy reserved at the bookstore. It opens at 9:00, I'll have my copy in hand at 9:02. I will finish it by 9:02 PM Sunday.

I'm paying 29.500 or so, give or take 1.000.

What's the deal? I've never read any of them. Are they more interesting than the "Kingdom of Xanth" series?
