You know what i mean...at least, i THINK you know what i mean.
It could just be stoner talk, or maybe just "duuuuuuude" talk in general, but everyone has made these "shots" that stick out in their memory.

Like the time i had just finished eating my apple core in the kitchen.
Instead of walking across the kitchen to put my core into our big tupperwear garbage can, i threw it.
Well, it knocked off two walls, started the CD player, skidded off the side of the counter and came to rest on the lip of the garbage can. It was sitting perpendicular, right on the rim.

That sort of put my previous best shot" to shame.
I threw a pair of shoes clear across the garage and they managed to cross over each other, and sit nice and snuggly in a space just large enough on the top shelf of our shoe rack.
When i type it out, it doesn't sound impressive at all.

my few roomates agreed "the apple core shot" is one for the annuls

I once had to leave supervising study hall to answer a phone call. Afterwards I picked up my mail. As I came through the classroom door, sorting the mail in my hand, I noticed a clearly dead pen on the floor. As I walked past it, I stooped, picked it up and gave it a backward fling without taking my eyes off the mail and sat down. Naturally it banked off the wall and fell in the trash can.

The kids challenged me to do a repeat. I said, "Why? I proved I can do it. You saw it. Your turn." Several did try. None scored.

NICE. What a great thread idea. I love "shots" like that!

Anyways, the best shot I ever witnessed was unfortunately not my own. Back in second-year uni I had a total dive of a flophouse apartment. One night a few of my buddies, my brother, and I got drunk and started flicking pennies from some huge jar at each other, with the intent of inflicting stinging pain.

Pretty normal, except that one of my buddies flicked a nickel clear across the room at my unwary brother, and it managed to lodge itself right in his outer ear. We nearly pissed ourselves laughing at my stunned sibling with a nickel jammed in his ear. Really, what are the odds of ever making that shot again? I reckon you could keep trying that shot for every waking moment for the rest of your natural life and still not make it ever again. Surprised
